Heeej
I’m back!! I took a little break as the trip I made to Guatemala and LA took the best of me. I got sick in Guatemala and it was no fun story but I made it to LA just in time to get my puppy and love of my life, Elda back with me to Sweden in time for the retreat I was hosting at my place this weekend with my dear soul sister Isabel.
So many people ask me why I didn’t get a dog in Sweden and that is a good question but now I know why- Elda was calling and I listened. I am SO in love and my life got a total upgrade.
A sunny summer day I was sitting on my stair overlooking my apple meadow and was thinking to myself, all that’s missing now is a dog. It seemed really difficult to find a hypoallergenic dog at that time, maybe the covid effect and when I looked at rescue dogs they all said you needed plenty of experience and a calm home- well I have no experience and I have people around all the time so that wasn’t an option. The same night I saw on instagram that my friend in LA, Frankie posted that her magical maltipoo Penny had babies and that was just ment to be as Penny joined us in our witchy herbalism school when I lived in LA and we were sitting under the oak tree meditating with different herbs and I just felt like a puppy that came from Penny must be someone that is on the same frequency as me, so there and then I signed up for one, not realizing HOW difficult it would be to first of all go to LA in covid times- quarantining 14 days in a non EU country and then all the paperwork needed to be able to bring her to Sweden but I am SO happy I was so naive as Elda is the best thing that ever happened to me.
She was very nervous the first week in Sweden and I was a bit worried how she would handle so many different people around but she was doing amazing and joined in on all the ceremonies. She loves the drumming and just lays under the drum- its adorable to see how she is blooming and flourishing here in the wild.
And our retreat this weekend that we called “Awaken your Magic” really did wake a lot of magic up- it was so beautiful to co create this retreat with Isabel who is an amazing yoga teacher, spaceholder and medicine woman from the north. We sang our hearts out, released old crap in the fire, drank a lot of cacao, ate amazing local, vegan food by our new friend Milla who I met at a gathering earlier this summer at her magical place EKA in Österlen.
It was such a beautiful group of people and a lot of healing that took place.
We are planning our next retreat in June when Isabel is back from Costa Rica and it will be a longer one so stay tuned.
Isabel and baby Elda.
So in love
And SO grateful that the sun came out for us.
Im even more inspired to learn the guitar now, I picked it up in Guatemala earlier this year but gave up when my fingers started to bleed but I really want to sing with a guitar..mission of this winter!!
Until then ill stick to drumming which is such a healing instrument. Just like the heartbeat.
Magical woman
Still overwhelmed what to do with all my apple trees..I started a new habit- every time Elda goes out to pee I pick at least 20 apples- perfect exercise and a whole lot of applesauce for my porridge this winter- ill show you how to make a super healthy one in another post.
Dream team
Before the guests arrived I cooked a super simple lentil stew and its soo easy and soo delicious!!
Anyone care for a recipe let me know:)
And then Milla came and stepped up the food game- Im obsessed with her sourdough bread and the hummus was to die for.
Breathwork session in the healing barn. Yay, I love my life.
Morning Yoga with Isabel
And some restorative poses.
I really want to get the habit of swimming all year round but I dont think I will make it. Already too cold for me..any tips on how to get started?
Can you have too many raw balls?
Time for ceremony again.
And some eye gazing for our closing circle
Such a powerful practice that I encourage you to incorporate with your friends and loved ones. To really see each other..its so common that we talk and dont even look each other in the eyes so try this at home- pretty magical what can happen!!
